Games I grew up with, reimagined as Greek myths. Plus a few original puzzles.
Olympus arcade
Original puzzles
Best glory: 0
Send scrolls to waiting gods. Step up or down to catch blue receipts. Three mistakes end your shift.
Up and down arrows or W/S switch counters. Space sends a scroll.
Serve, step, catch. A scroll pushes a waiting god back. If they reach the door, they leave. Otherwise they stop to read, then return a blue receipt.
One counter at a time. Move up or down. The top and bottom wrap around. Any god can join any queue.
Watch the return. Catch receipts automatically at your counter. Consecutive catches build a bonus. Reach 900 glory to start round two, when gods arrive more often.
Empty throws, missed receipts, and gods reaching the desk each cost one life.
Keyboard: P or Esc pauses. Space or Enter starts, resumes, or retries. Switching tabs pauses the game.
Hermes×Tapper
Tapper is another of those classic arcade cabinet games I wanted to bring into this project. I like how much can happen with so few controls. Giving that frantic service job to the messenger of the gods felt like a natural fit.
Hermes is the gods’ herald and messenger, known for his speed and cunning. He moves between worlds, carries messages, and also guides souls to the underworld.
In Tapper, you move between counters, send drinks to approaching customers, and catch the empty mugs coming back. Ignore a lane for too long and everything starts to unravel.
Drinks become scrolls, customers become impatient gods, and empty mugs become returning receipts. Hermes may be divinely fast, but he still has to get to the right counter.
