Swipe anywhere on the maze in the direction you want to turn, or use arrows or WASD. Swipe before a corner to queue the turn; you can reverse immediately.
Collect the gold dots. Clear all the thread to open the door in the bottom-right corner.
Pick up a sword. You get seven seconds to chase the Minotaur back to his starting point.
Watch for red horns. He pauses, then charges in a straight line. Turn a corner to dodge him.
Keyboard: P or Esc pauses. Space or Enter starts, resumes, or retries. Switching tabs pauses the game.
Theseus×Pac-Man
Pac-Man brings me back to those big arcade cabinets and joystick games. I wanted that familiar feeling of choosing a turn with something right behind you. A maze with a Minotaur already has most of the ingredients.
Theseus entered the Labyrinth to kill the Minotaur, a creature with a bull’s head and a human body. Ariadne gave him a thread to unwind on the way in, so he could find his way back out.
Pac-Man turns a maze into a chase: clear the dots, dodge the ghosts, and use power pellets to turn the tables for a moment.
The Minotaur takes the ghosts’ place, Ariadne’s thread becomes the trail to collect, and a sword gives Theseus a brief chance to fight back. The ancient maze becomes an arcade maze.
Pac-Man in the Minotaur’s labyrinth.
Arrow keys or WASD to steer. Collect the threads, then find the exit.
